AR-Ab is a rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He started out as a battle rapper, and eventually became a member of Cassidy’s Larsiny Family rap group and label. He was featured on Cassidy’s 07-07-07 mixtape released in 2007, and put out his debut mixtape a year later, titled, Welcome to Trap Street.

Within the same year, AR-Ab appeared in his first music video, alongside Cassidy and French Montana in “City of Dreams.” By the time Ab released his fifth mixtape, his career was picking up speed. Producer Swizz Beatz, who was featured on the mixtape, called him “the most important new artist in rap.” By the time he dropped his next mixtape in 2013, MUD Musik, his music career was at its peak.

He was in negotiations with four different record labels and praised by Complex as "15 Unsigned Rappers Who Should Get a Deal After SXSW." However, this was the same time when a 2010 drug case caught up with him. While he was incarcerated, Ab participated in a Boot Camp program that allowed him to be released after 18 months. After his release, he continued to make music and was signed to Cash Money Records in 2016, co-founding the label imprint and group Cash Money OBH (Original Block Hustlaz) with Dark Lo.
