Chris Webby is a Rapper from Norwalk, Connecticut. Chris started rapping in the fifth grade, and got his name buzzing for the first time when he went to Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. There, he joined Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and developed a reputation as a freestyler among the frat houses. He was arrested in his sophomore year in 2009 for being involved with a failed robbery attempt on a drug dealer on campus. He spent a week in jail and was banned from the school, after which he dedicated himself to making music.
In the same year he got kicked out, he released his first two mixtapes, The White Noise LP and Teenage Mutant Ninja Rapper. In 2010, he released his next three mixtapes, the third of which crashed Datpiff servers from the amount of downloads occuring on its initial release. His next mixtape, Webster’s Laboratory, did the same thing, and also received an “L” (3 out of 5) in a review by XXL.
He released his first commercial EP, There Goes the Neighborhood, through his Homegrown Music label, and reached #1 on the Hip-hop/R&B charts on iTunes, where he'd remain in the top 5 for a week. After signing with eOne Music in 2013, he released second EP, Homegrown, as well as his first studio album, Chemically Imbalanced. Overall, he has released ten mixtapes, three EPs, and one studio album.
