CyHi the Prynce

CyHi the Prynce is a rapper and songwriter from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Growing up, he wasn’t allowed to listen to hip-hop due to his strict Baptist upbringing, but credits his parents with providing him a foundation on which he could build his character upon. He was also an athlete and sang in his school’s choir.

He was first signed to Akon’s Konvict Musik imprint under Def Jam in 2009. The next year, CyHi signed to Kanye’s GOOD music, allegedly under the influence of Beyoncé’s suggestion to Kanye. From 2010 to 2015, CyHi has released seven mixtapes, the latest of which is titled, Black Hystori Project 2: N.A.A.C.P. His debut album, No Dope on Sundays, was released in 2017 and peaked at 65 on the Billboard 200 chart.
