Pell is a music artist originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. He moved to Mississippi in 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, which is where he started his rap career.

Originally, he started as a producer, making beats for his friends to rap on. He says that hearing Kanye’s Late Registration inspired him to start rapping, which he started to pursue right before entering college. He continued to develop his craft in college, emerging with a sound Fader has described as, “dream rap,” and that he himself describes as “futuristic soul.”

Aspiring to be relatable as possible, he describes his ideal status as being a musical “Rosetta Stone.” After putting his studies on hold, he released his first mixtape, Floating While Dreaming, in 2014. Although he only has one other official project, an EP titled, LIMBO, he has over a dozen singles and has performed at a number of music festivals such as Lollapalooza and SXSW.
