SahBabii is a rapper from the Wentworth Gardens projects of Chicago’s South Side. He got his alias from his auntie, TeeBaby. Since his first name is Saaheem, she took the first part of his name and added the “Babii” part of her own name to it. At 13, Sah left Chicago and moved to Atlanta, where his father and brother were. At the time, his father was focused on helping Sah’s brother, rapper T3, on developing his music career.

Through his brother, SahBabii learned how to use recording programs and progress his own flow. He had been making music as early as 2010, but started taking it seriously in 2014 when he heard himself improving. His first mixtape, Pimpin Ain’t Eazy, was released in 2012, with his next mixtape, Glocks & Thots, dropping a year after.

SahBabii’s career took off in 2016 with the release of his single “Pull Up Wit Ah Stick.” Originally released on his S.A.N.D.A.S. mixtape, he re-released the project as an album a year later through Warner Bros. Records. His single gained him the attention of not only the label he’s signed to, but also the attention of artists like Young Thug and Drake. With over 40M views on YouTube, “Pull Up Wit Ah Stick” has been remixed by Thugger, T-Pain, Wiz Khalifa, and Fetty Wap.
