Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd have been going hard lately. They’ve landed partnership deals with both Reebok and ESPN, representing the Classic Leather campaign of the former and a SremmLife NBA series for the latter. On top of those deals, the Rae Sremmurd boys have been working on their next project. At the Grammys, Mike WiLL Made-It revealed that it would be a triple-disc album, which includes a solo project from each member (titled Swaecation and Jxmtroduction) as well as a collaborative project. SremmLife 3 and Sremmin’ have been floated as possible titles for the album.

To add to their busy schedule, news has surfaced that Rae Sremmurd will be going on tour with Childish Gambino in the near future. At a Reebok event in New York City, Billboard caught up with Rae Sremmurd in a brief interview. When asked about their upcoming tour and how they met Childish, they said the following:

Jxmmi: Childish Gambino is a cool guy, we linked overseas in a studio. I DJ’d one of his house parties one time. He’s just a cool guy and we got the same type of vibe, so you can expect good music to come out of this. It’s natural. We don’t gotta act, we can just be ourselves. He’s himself everywhere he goes, and we’re gonna be ourselves everywhere we go — so It’s just gonna be like two different shows, we from two different places. He’s just a great person, he’s an icon so it’s just great to go on tour with him.

Swae: I got a laptop with about 1,000 bangers, I know Childish Gambino got about 2,000 or 3,000, who knows? We’re gonna come together and make a whole project like, “Redbone” and “Black Beatles.”

Childish Gambino’s tour with Rae Sremmurd will mark his first tour in support of his album Awaken, My Love!, released in 2016. To add to the significance of the tour, Childish Gambino mentioned earlier this year that he will be retiring his career as Childish Gambino after one more project. Since all artists involved are building buzz around their names, it’s likely that this 13-date tour will be popping off from start to finish. Here’s a list of the tour dates below:
