The proverbial rise and fall of an acclaimed star is always something we tend to marvel at in hip hop, especially when it’s a prominent figure who once appeared to be indestructible for so many years. In 2015, we watched the collapse of Birdman — who was once an indomitable C.E.O. — become the face of thievery and betrayal because of his selfish antics. Lil Wayne once considered Birdman to be his father. Trust begets love, and Wayne thought he could forever believe in the power of Birdman. That was until Baby refused to drop his Carter V tape and was a leading suspect in being behind his tour bus shooting earlier this year.

Drake was a huge Cash Money supporter when he was initially signed to Wayne’s Young Money imprint. He tossed his mixtape banger “Money to Blow” over to Baby and was a huge cash cow for him.
