After 12 years, the dynamic duo of Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning is finally over. Despite hoisting two Super Bowls, the embattled head coach elected to resign earlier this week after his Giants finished at a dismal 6-10. This marked their fourth consecutive season without a playoff birth, leaving the city, and ultimately Coughlin, in a puddle of disappointment. But, while it would be so easy to wave goodbye to the storied head-coach, we decided to pay homage to Coughlin and pick his 5 Most Giant Moments.

Tom’s confidence in Eli stems back to their first season together in 2004 when he opted to start a-then-rookie Manning in place of Warner after a 5-4 start. The result wasn’t well-received by the fans, but by championing Eli, the two ended up with two Super Bowl rings.

With Coughlin hungrily trying to pry away a Super Bowl ring from the 18-0 Patriots, it was the trio of Manning, Burress, and Tyree who lit the fire under their team’s feet. Tyree’s helmet grab catch allowed Big Blue to score the winning TD and clinch Coughlin’s first Super Bowl win in 2008.
