Listen with caution
As fans and friends welcome Rick Ross back home, Daily Mail has released the audio of the 911 call made on Ross’ behalf just before the rapper’s hospitalization. The male caller, reportedly a friend of the rapper, described Ross as “breathing hard and throwing up” before telling the operator that he was “in and out” of consciousness.
During the call, the operator asked several questions as Ross’ friend answered with a seemingly shaky, nervous voice.

According to the Daily Mail, the call, which lasted a little over six minutes, was made right after Ross passed out in his Florida home. As the caller became increasingly nervous, his voice quivered as he asked the status of the ambulance several times.
“You alright?” the caller can be heard asking Ross. “The ambulance is on the way.” While the rapper wasn’t speaking, he was able to nod his head occasionally.
Towards the end of the recording, the friend told Ross to refrain from moving shortly after the operator instructed for Ross to not get any food or water while waiting.
“Man in Distress”

As Hip Hop My Way previously reported, Ross spent a few days short of a week in the hospital after the rap mogul gave everyone a scare. Afterwards, he was reportedly getting cared for at his house. According to TMZ‘s sources, the “Purple Lamborghini” rapper “went home in the wee hours of Monday morning,” March 5.
As reported by the gossip outlet, a frantic person called 911 from Ross’ Miami home around three in the morning last Thursday (March 1), saying that Ross was having trouble breathing alongside not responding when they attempted to wake him. Referring to him as a “man in distress,” the caller added that he had a history of seizures. (While the man in Daily Mail’s recording wasn’t heard using the phrase “man in distress,” the audio clip is reportedly only part of the actual call.)
Home Safe
Though Ross reportedly became combative when he came to, he made it to the hospital via ambulance in time to be treated. News on what the rapper was treated for varies, with some claiming he was treated for respiratory issues (possible pneumonia) and others claiming that his treatment was heart-related.
Meanwhile, “a family member strongly denied Rick was hospitalized,” according to TMZ. However, reports steadily became more grave, getting as serious as the rapper being hooked up to a machine that took over the function of his lungs and heart.
Regardless, social media was filled with praying hands emojis for the rapper, as fellow celebs sent out well-wishes. “Prayers up for my guy Rick Ross 🙏🏿 hope you pull thru my brotha,” P. Diddy tweeted, alongside Ciara, who wrote, “Praying For #RickRoss 🙏🏽.” “Prayers up for @RickRoss 🙏🏾,” Miami basketball player Udonis Haslem added. “Straight up man!! Many other stars, in combination with numerous fans, showed Rick Ross support while he was in the hospital. When Ross was feeling better, he returned the love.
