Former Bad Girls Club star Shannade Clermont has been arrested and accused of committing numerous federal crimes. The reality star and model is facing several years in prison.
The Clermont twins — who gained notoriety during their time on Oxygen’s Bad Girls Club — may soon be split up, as one half of the duo is facing federal prison. Twenty-four-year-old Shannade Clermont was arrested mid July for stealing a dead man’s debit card info, racking up nearly $20,000 in fraudulent charges.
According to The Washington Post, Associated Press reported that “Clermont looked at her twin and mouthed ‘sorry’ before breaking down into tears.” Scroll to the end of this article to watch the video.
The story, according to prosecutors, starts with Clermont creating several different email addresses “to solicit dates for prostitution and other sexual encounters through various websites.” The “prostitution date” involved in this case took place January of this year.
In a criminal complaint, prosecutors included text messages between the victim’s phone and Clermont’s phone prior to what the government described as a “prostitution date.”
“What do you want to do?” the victim was quoted as saying.
“I want to see you for the amount we agreed on. So you tell me,” Clermont allegedly said.
“Let’s do $400,” the government said the victim said. It said he later added: “I’m a cool dude. You’ll have fun. What type of booze do you like? Wine!”
Surveillance footage showed a women, identified as Clermont by authorities, arriving at the victim’s midtown Manhattan residence around 5:30 p.m. and leaving just before 9 p.m.
