What goes up...
The Notorious B.I.G. was a huge name in the rap game. A legend to many, and for good reason. His lyrics and presence in the hip-hop world were unmatched. A big man with a big personality, he rocked stages and had his words heard all across the planet. We all know how his life came to an unfortunate end, but some tried to immortalize him in art. Unfortunately, that may be coming to an end as well.
The rapper from Brooklyn’s presence was as big as you could imagine. He had it all, money, fame, girls, and it was all taken from him in the blink of an eye. Besides Tupac, he may have been the most significant death in rap music history. It’s only right for him to have a mural devoted to his greatness.
Biggie has been preserved in the form of art many times before. He’s considered to be one of the best lyricists to ever rap, and we would agree. His music was an art form itself, so it’s only right that he should be preserved in all the different forms of art. Right?
The mural in question, titled “King of NY,” has been up for over two years now on a building in Brooklyn. Unfortunately it seems like the life of the painting is coming to an end, as the building’s landlord has some changes in store. He’s been receiving a lot of criticism for the decision, but he’s just brushing it off right now.
