Black Ink Crew star O’Sh*t has just welcomed a baby girl into the world. The former inker — who goes by his government name of Richard Duncan now — showed off his pride and joy in an Instagram post. While we aren’t sure exactly when the Duncan clan got a little larger, we do know its latest addition is named Nova-Rae Rose.
We’re sure lil Nova is happy with the decision that Duncan’s S.O. made for him, pleading with him to start using his real name and move away from the foul moniker. As Duncan, he’s been back on the show and away from his baby’s mother for quite a while.
He shared how much he missed her in a recent Instagram post.
“Being hundreds of miles away from this woman is draining me and i can’t wait to be back home by your side,” he wrote under a picture of his still-very-pregnant wife Nikki.
However, it looks like Duncan came home just in time to welcome his little one into the world. Nova-Rae is Duncan’s fourth child and we expect to hear all about the lead-up to her birth on the newest season of Black Ink Crew.
The birth of Nova-Rae is an interesting development because Duncan did everything in his power to hide the fact that his wife was pregnant from the cameras and his fellow Crew members. When that all boiled over in an argument last season, Duncan decided to opt out of the internet gossip cycle and step away from social media.
Check out his social sign-off, which he shared via Instagram, below:
“My bad if people feel offended by my actions but I am gonna just focus on what I have been. Which is doing what’s best for my family in real life. I will be stepping away from this social media for awhile and focusing on my family and business ventures. God bless you and your families.”
However, there’s nothing like a newborn to get you back in the picture-taking mood. And Duncan is back at it again!

Of course, the new season of Black Ink will have plenty of material to fuel it even if Nova-Rae doesn’t come into the picture. A recently released trailer showed where the new season is going. Spoiler: It’s wild.
Ceaser is attempting to hold together his business in the latest outing, spreading himself thin across locations in New York and Atlanta. Sky is grappling with her troubled relationship with her son, and Young Bae is considering heading back to South Korea. If that wasn’t enough, the trailer confirmed that the new season will tackle Donna moving on from an abusive relationship as well as Melody trying to run the shop.
Outside of that, Teddy’s brother is navigating a court case and new artists Jadah Blue, Persuasion, and Alex are bound to have their own stories to toss into the mix. Throw in a baby and you have yourself a great combination for a stuffed-to-the-brim season of highlights.
