Be careful
The hype around butt injections is most definitely settling down following the large number of horror stories that are surfacing. Adding one more onto the list, Cardi B talked about her illegally done injections during an interview with GQ.
The Invasion of Privacy rapper shared that the experience was “the craziest pain ever.”

“I felt like I was gonna pass out. I felt a little dizzy. And it leaks for, like, five days,” she told GQ writer Caity Weaver. The rapper went on to say that she planned to go back to get her work improved a little, but the shop was closed after “someone died on her table.”
Delving deeper into the danger of the once-trending procedure, The Hollywood Reported called in Dr. Wright A. Jones, a double board certified plastic surgeon, who says that Cardi could have very well died on the table as well. He noted that silicone, the material used to fill the backside, can potentially enter the bloodstream, “causing infection, loss of limbs, stroke, kidney failure, respiratory failure, heart failure or even death.”
Jones added that the “craziest pain” Cardi felt “is completely characteristic of the black market injectors.” “It can be excruciatingly painful,” the doctor continued.
Heavy Consequences

K. Michelle, who has undergone several surgeries to get her implants removed, is consistently vocal about the dangers of the procedure. Her dwindling health as a result of the implants not only affected her overall well-being but also her career. The singer broke down into tears while on Maryland, Virginia radio show The Fam In The Morning, as she explained how the procedure subsequently lead to a dangerous drug dependency.
“They were tryna put me in rehab. I was taking, like, Percocet and Adderall to stay up,” she shared. She went on to say that she wasn’t eating and weighed much less than she should have, with her doctor constantly warning her about the state of her health.
“I was really sick,” she said, beginning to cry. The artist then warned women about butt injections, saying that getting sick is inevitable. “What women don’t know, what’s going on right now, if you got those shots four or five years ago, you’re gonna be sick. It’s no avoiding it. It’s nothing you can do to avoid it,” she continued.

She stressed the importance of talking about “the outcome and the consequences” of the popular procedure on Steve Harvey’s talk show earlier this year.
“Everybody was doing it. A lot of your favorite artists,” she told the audience. “We went to the same person. They’re sick too, but I just talk about mine. I don’t lie to y’all. I don’t tell y’all, ‘Oh, this is great!’”
K. Michelle — also known as Kimberly — got her implants removed at the beginning of the 2018, but fans got to relive it with her, as the procedure aired on Dr. Oz’s show Tuesday, Feb. 27. After the implants began causing her pain and other health issues, Kimberly decided that they had to go.
“I didn’t start to feel any pain or have any issues until like a year ago and my health just started to decline,” the star told Dr. Oz. “I had seen some stories of a lot of women who were going through the same thing and it was like discoloration, it was pain in your back, it was migraines, it was super discomfort.”
“It’s like you always have this intuition when you know you might want to ignore it but I couldn’t ignore it anymore, and it just wasn’t worth it to me,” she added.
