Invasion of Privacy
After dropping bangers and Billboard hitters like “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi,” Cardi B’s debut album has fans marking the drop date as a take-off-work day. Needless to say, the LP is highly-anticipated.
Well… The rapper finally dropped the title, cover and release date of her first studio album. The wait is almost over.

Throwback Vibes
“My album cover !!! LADIES AND GENTS !” she began in the caption. She added the title of the album — Invasion of Privacy — and told fans to expect the project April 6.
Sporting a short, blonde hair style and a modest black and white fit with matching cat-eye sunglasses, Cardi’s album cover gives off serious throwback vibes. Flowing nicely with title, the LP’s front mocks a video as it’s being recorded, featuring a red recording icon and a scratchy filter over the photo.
“IM SOO REASY FOR THIS S**T,” one fan commented on Instagram. “APRIL 6 WILL BE MARKED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE AND IN ALL OF HUMANITY’S HISTORY,” another wrote on Twitter.
The one thing the “Lick” rapper didn’t share was Invasion of Privacy‘s track list. It took no time for posers to come forward with a fake one though.
“I’m seeing maaa fake track list already,” Cardi tweeted shortly after posting about her album. She went on to say that she and only she would release the list. “Yes, from my accounts not nobody else,” she wrote on Twitter.
“I’m also seeing predictions on sales and numbers. Please STOP!” she added. “I’m already having bad anxiety. Let the s**t stop and do what it do.”
“Stay tuned.”

Before fans had a specific date to hold on to, Cardi teased that the album would come out in April at iHeartRadio’s award show. As she accepted her title as Best New Artist, the always-herself-and-never-anything-else rapper gave everyone something to look forward to and a good dose of her personality, laughing and joking throughout her acceptance speech.
“I’m going to thank a lot of people because a lot of people helped me with my success, so here it goes,” she began. The “Bartier Cardi” rapper went on to send shout-outs to her publicist, her team, her family, her fiancé Offset and Atlantic Records.
“I want to thank my fans, Bardi Gang,” she continued. “Cause even when I’m wrong they be like, ‘She still right.’” “And I want to thank my haters too,” she said, pausing to laugh. “Because they be downloading my stuff so they can hear it and talk crap about it, but it benefits me!”
Before heading off the stage, Cardi made the crowd applaud one last time, saying, “My album will be coming in April.”
“Yes, sir. April,” she concluded. “Stay tuned.”

While many were hyped about Invasion of Privacy‘s super close drop date, others took time to scrutinize Cardi’s efforts. However, according to the star, no one can shake her.
“I will never let nobody discredit me, before i sign to Atlantic i put 2 mixtapes out and i was pushing FOREVA by myself,” Cardi tweeted. “I went to Renaissance HS for musical theater. I been love music. After high school i stopped wanna know why? cause music DON’T PAY YOUR F**KING BILLS A JOB DOES.”
