"I don't make songs for free, I make them for freedom"
Chance the Rapper has taken the world by storm in the past few years. He’s gone from being considered one of the better under the radar rappers to one of the best full on mainstream rappers in the game today. He’s always seemed like a good guy, and he has done things for the fans first and himself later. Maybe it’s time for Chance to start thinking about himself a little bit.
The young, 23-year-old Chancelor Bennet has been popping up on radios all over the globe lately. His rise to stardom came from his hard work, his rap style, and his great music, packaged with the mentoring of superstar Kanye West. Chance now has one of the biggest names in music and is only getting better.
One of the things that sets Chance apart from everyone else is the fact that he doesn’t sell his music. That’s right, every song that he’s ever released can be downloaded for 100% nothing.
However, that might be changing soon…
Changing the Game
The Grammy winning artist did an interview with Complex, where he said this about the upcoming album he’s working on:
“I think I might actually sell this album. That’s like a big step in itself. I kind of hate the fact that I can’t chart, really. I can chart but the way they have the streaming sh*t set up is weak as f**k.”
