"I don't make songs for free, I make them for freedom"
Leaving His Mark
Chance has always spoken out for free music to get more recognition. In a song he did with Kanye West, he even rapped, “I heard you gotta sell it to snatch the Grammy.”
Since then, the Grammys actually made it so that free music was included in their award process, probably thanks to Chance.
The ever-humble Chance is even thinking about moving back home to live with his parents.
“I’m in a position where I want to be closer to my parents now, because I realize how important that is,” Chance says. “There was never a point, ever, in my life where I can remember loving someone as much or more than I love my mom until I met my daughter. So, it made me understand that my mom loves me more than she loves anybody in the world, and that’s crazy to me. So of course I wanna be around her.”
It sounds like Chance has all the right intentions, moving forward in his life.
