Some people say that art can’t be rushed. However, these artists may have rushed out some of these album titles. From making bad promises to being downright crazy, some of these rappers should have probably decided on something different, because they didn’t get the right message across with these. With all the creativity out there in the world it’s sad to see it run out on these iconic albums. What was really going on in their heads?
“King of Rock” – Run-D.M.C.
Run D.M.C. is a rap group, so it made a ton of people wonder why they would claim to be the kings of rock. While they did an insanely good collaboration with Aerosmith, we’re pretty sure they’re still rappers.
“Hip-Hop is Dead” – Nas
It was a good album title for the time, and Nas’s whole marketing plan revolved around the idea back in the day. However, it’s 2017 and hip-hop is still alive and well.
“Already Platinum” – Slim Thug
Surprise, surprise! This album actually didn’t go platinum. As a matter of fact, it only sold about 500,000 copies. Maybe he should have named it Almost Platinum.
