"Write his a** a ticket!"
Maybe Chic-Fil-A wasn’t the best choice? A butter-drenched fried chicken sandwich certainly isn’t helping this overweight Georgia policeman get back into his cruiser after a fellow diner parked his Dodge Charger a little too close.
One diner noticed the porky pig’s attempt to get back to serving and protecting, and he recorded the valiant struggle for the rest of the world to see. Though his tone is mocking, it’s pretty clear that the videographer is on the cop’s side. He offers words of encouragement throughout the video.
“You’ll figure it out, big man,” he says. “You can do it. Try it again, big man. To serve and to protect, big man. You gotta get in there big man.”
He also offered the portly cop another solution, once it became clear that getting into the car through the driver’s side door might not be an option.
No Satisfying Ending
Write his ass a ticket, big man. Cause you can’t get in your car, big man,” he said. “He just mugging at the car. Big man mad.”
However, when the cop didn’t take his advice and tried to squeeze back into the door one more time, the helpful narrator went right back to his encouraging ways.
“You can do it, big man. Squeeze, big man,” he said. “Get in there, big man. You can do it, big man.”
The officer tries to get into the car from the driver’s side in multiple different ways. His first attempt, comes at the door while facing toward his own car. When that fails, he turns himself around, takes a break to think about it and tries again facing the other way.
After lots of heaving, pulling and contorting, the officer gives in and walks to the passenger side of his car. However, the car on that side is also very close to him. He yanks on the door and begins his struggle anew as the narrator and his friend’s laugh. There’s no telling if he actually made it into the other side. The giggle fit that the crew behind the video fell into was apparently fatal, as the camera drops and the video ends. RIP, you giggling lovers of Jesus-blessed chicken. And thank you for giving us this bit of levity with your last moments. Salute to you, big man.

At least it’s good to know that someone can surreptitiously record a cop in a way that doesn’t involve serious tragedy. It ain’t much, like this officer’s probability of making it back into his vehicle without having to take a walk of shame back into the restaurant and wait, but it is something.
Maybe this can be used to come together across the divide between people who think that literally nothing should supercede a police officer’s authority and those who are tired of being harassed. Everyone knows bumbling fat people are funny. Let us all come together and admit that this is hilarious.
