Waka isn’t the only person (or artist) to call Gucci out for being less than honest. Within the 304-page work, a gas station in Gucci’s home town (the Texaco on Bouldercrest) is a frequent setting. Several checks and years later, the “I Get the Bag” rapper visited his Texaco, claiming that he still runs “Bouldercrest like #ElGato.” Gucci documented the visit on Instagram with a string of posts.
“At the Texaco on Bouldercrest I sold nicks and dimes at as a teenager,” Gucci captioned the first of four photos of himself in his hometown. He then posted a #goals picture of himself with three other friends, captioned “Fo Real Ogz.”
However, “Hell Shell” rapper Young Nudy called BS on that.
Gucci’s fellow ATL artist offered fans a picture of himself and his team at the same Texaco on Bouldercrest, warning them to not believe Guwop’s hype. “Last time I checked #PDE #Run #Bouldercrest We Don’t No buddy He don’t Be in the hood Dats A big CAP I got the hold #Bouldercrest #and #Eastatlant #mygucci #voice😁,” he wrote alongside his Instagram post.
