There has yet to be an event tragic or traumatic enough to disturb the hip hop world as much as Tupac’s death did; it is still one of biggest events commemorated today. Because he was taken so suddenly and quickly, stories of Tupac’s last days on Earth are always welcomed. This former high school football team had quite the story to tell, shedding light on a side of Tupac that we haven’t seen before.
We all know how significant Tupac’s death was to the hip-hop wold, but a lot of people don’t know the significance it has to one certain high school football team. The Long Beach Polytechnic High School football team from back in the day has a story to tell about the day Tupac was shot.
Apparently, the football team went to a burger joint after they lost a game, and they spotted Tupac there with all of his gang with him. The kids were stoked.
“When we first approached Tupac, I wasn’t starstruck, I was scared,” one of the guys said. Apparently, Pac was super paranoid; he started yelling and cursing, a complete overreaction.
Once Tupac realized that the group of guys approaching him was just a bunch of kids, he knew they were harmless. The whole mood “got a little lighter.”
