Lil B? Really?

Lil B claimed he was jumped by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s crew at the Rolling Loud festival over the weekend.

The rapper announced that he had been attacked from the stage, so he cancelled his set (over what sounds like “Thizzle Dance” because Based God was going to represent at a West Coast festival). Videos of the altercation hit the web shortly thereafter. In the clip, you can see upwards of 10 people punching and kicking the ultra-positive rapper as he lays on the ground.

“I said something about Boogie music, and they all got mad and they jumped me about that,” Lil B explained before calling off his scheduled performance.

In spite of the violent acts against him, Lil B maintained an aura of positivity and declined to speak ill of the people who harmed him. In a series of tweets, Lil B extended forgiveness to the people who beat him and asked that no one commit violence in his name.

“A boogie with a hoodie and his crew jumped me. Don’t no how many of em it was but it’s all good I love y’all and I forgive y’all. LOVE. Use me as an example I was violently jumped by A Boogie. Hella his people I was 1 deep, no security. It’s good I forgive them. Love y’all. Just because someone hurts you does not mean you need to retaliate! I love the people who jumped me. I mean that. Stay positive and safe. I’m still moving solo out here, no security, with love in my heart. I’m just not gonna trust everyone now. Love and positivity guide me. Let me be your strength….. we are not violence! We do not retaliate ! We do not support violence! Say this with me! Say it loud! Cry for me tonight out of love and joy! Cry because I have forgiven the 5-10 people who jumped me today, I will not retaliate. I want you to take this situation that happened to me, let me be your beacon of strength turn your back to the violence and forgive. No violence on my time! Say it with me! No violence over here! Leave that hate far away from us! Say it with me loud ! Love you!”
