It’s becoming more and more common to see same-sex couples on TV, in the movies, and in everyday life. But this new couple might really shake things up for Love & Hip Hop. Felicia “Snoop” Pearson and her girlfriend, J. Adrienne, are set to appear on the series and are ready to change people’s minds about gay black women. Will they be able to hold their own on this volatile show?
Snoop, Not Dogg
Felicia “Snoop” Pearson was born in Baltimore to drug addicted parents. She was raised in a foster home, but she soon hit the streets to sell drugs. She was sent to prison at 14 for second-degree murder and spent almost seven years in. But everything changed for her when she got on TV.
Snoop met K. Williams at a bar, and he was so taken with her that he brought her to the set of The Wire to meet the crew. She was suddenly asked to play a role in the show based off of her and even named the character after her. Snoop became a star and was applauded for her acting abilities when she had no training.
Now she’s going to appear on a very different show with her lover.
Why ‘Love & Hip Hop’?
Snoop explains she doing this surprising show because, “I’ve been a fan of Love & Hip Hop. It may surprise my fans or whoever that I’m doing reality, but the cameras are going to catch me and my girl going through our trials and tribulations.”
One trial that may arise is that Snoop is the first woman that J. Adrienne has ever dated, and J. may have a jealous streak. She said, “With Snoop comes a lot of groupies.” Watch the trailer next!
