As we end 2019, we remember those who have left us this year. Nipsey Hussle is one of them. It’s been about 9 months since the rapper was tragically killed and to this day, fans, celebrity friends, and family members of Nip, have paid tribute to the late entrepreneur. Since the day Nipsey died, The Game has been very open about how much he misses the rapper.
Since Nip’s demise, the “Hate It Or Love It” rapper has been very vocal about his love and admiration by posting tributes on Instagram, and has made it a point to keep Nipsey’s memory and legacy alive. As you know, tragedy struck in Los Angeles, CA yesterday when Grammy-nominated recording artist Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed outside of his Marathon clothing store. The rapper was tragically killed in a Los Angeles shooting at the age of 33. Born Ermias Asghedom, he was shot outside his clothing store, the Marathon Clothing Company, in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
“Right around 3:20 this afternoon, there was a shooting that occurred at the 3400 block of West Slauson Avenue,” a public information officer with the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed. “Three individuals, three victims were shot. They were taken to a local hospital. One of those victims died at the local hospital, the other two are listed in stable condition.”
The PIO added: “The subject responsible for the shooting fled in some type of vehicle, but I do not have the information of the type of vehicle he fled in.”
Over the course of his lifetime, Nipsey Hussle has created several mixtapes and collaborated extensively with Jay-Z. His first and last album, Victory Lap was nominated this past year for Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards.
“I’ve gotten it from young artists and young hustlers, like, ‘Nip man, I was really inspired by this move you did and I got my own version of that, me and my team,’” he stated this past February “That’s what it’s about. Adding something to the game that people can take from.”
