RIP Remy Ma... again!
Ladies and gentlemen, hip-hop heads and music aficionados, the moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived: Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds” video has finally dropped. It’s been days, maybe even weeks, that fans have been waiting on this moment.
About two weeks ago, the queen of Young Money announced that she would be releasing the visuals to the song that put her back on our radar. “No Frauds,” featuring Lil Wayne and Drake, was the perfect comeback for Nicki and served as a sharp-blow-response to Remy Ma, who came for her in diss songs “SHEther” and “Another One.” The song is also the first single that features three of Young Money’s head artists in three years. Three years!
Nicki Alerts Her Barbs
On April 6th, Nicki took to Twitter and Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of behind-the-scenes footage from the “No Frauds” video shoot. “Who’s ready for the #NoFraudsVIDEO?” she asked her fans.
Fans were ready
Of course, her fans virtually raised their hands. With over 10,000 retweets and over 22,000 likes, they were ecstatic and have been anticipating the full video ever since.
The video was directed by Benny Boom and features scenes shot in the U.S. and London. It also zooms in on the reunion of Young Money’s top artists.
When one fan asked Nicki to give one word describing the energy on set, she replied, “Fun. Free. Blessing. Euphoric. Nostalgic. – i know u said one but so good shooting w/my babies again. Missed them a lot (heart emoji) Young Money.”
