Moss Vs. Bossman
Shad Moss (a.k.a. Bow Wow) is being dragged through social media again, but not for his usual. A video of the Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta star being punched in the face surfaced online recently, leading viewers to like, retweet and comment on the rapper’s embarrassing moment.
However, according to the “Shortie like Mine” artist, the video is about six months old and it “didn’t slide like that.” He swore on his six-year-old daughter, Shai Moss, that the clip didn’t accurately show what happened that fateful night.
“This ain’t no muthaf**kin Bow Wow Challenge. That s**t ain’t slide like that,” he said in an Instagram Live video.
In-between promising that the altercation wasn’t what it looked like and swearing on his kid, Moss referenced a female fan who was backstage at the time of the videoed-event. According to her tweets (dated November 2017), the night in question was a “long” but “litt” one.
“I didn’t catch the whole fight because I was surrounded by ppl. But he f**king buddy up with the chair cuz he was limping,” a Twitter user named @MissBrownEyez_ tweeted late last year. “Bow wow camp got that watch lol buddy came back looking for it.”
He Said, He Said
As for the video itself, it shows Moss being sucker-punched in the face by “Me Myself & I” rapper Cheeks Bossman. As Moss is walking with a crew of four or five, Bossman runs up on him. “Wassup with that Future s**t,” he says, getting in a good punch.
Moss falls to the floor, as Bossman is held back by the rapper’s crew.
While some thought the video was fake, assuming it was nothing more than a promo tactic for Moss’ new music, others found it to be too funny for words. Seemingly no one skipped the opportunity to talk about the clip though, including Bossman himself. The Green Eyes Music Group rapper got on his own IG Live to share his side of the story.
Clarifying that the incident sparked from something Moss said about Future, Bossman called the rapper a lair. “Bow Wow on the internet lying, talking bout it ain’t go down like that… How it didn’t go down the way it ain’t go down on the video?” Bossman asked. “Don’t ever talk about nobody in Free Bandz. No kind of way. No shape or form. We do not tolerate no disrespect from anybody.”
“I came dolo! I came by myself, nigga! I was dolo, you was with five of your homeboys,” he continued. “I told the nigga, ‘What’s happening with that Future shit,’ but I don’t really wanna hear, ‘Oh, what you mean’ or none of that shit.”
