He said what!?
Rick Ross made a huge mark on the hip hop world with his Maybach Music Group, but is there anything he wouldn’t do to make his label better? He recently sat down with The Breakfast Club crew; this interview revealed that singing women to MMG is a no go. Is he saying even if someone like Nicki Minaj wanted to sign to the label he would say no? Check it out!
With the Maybach Music Group boasting names like Rick Ross, Wale, and Meek Mill, they don’t really need anyone else… right? Rick Ross seems to think that way; the rapper recently revealed why he’s never signed a female rapper to his label. The answer was a bit controversial, and it has some of his female fans crying foul.
“What about a female rappers? I know you’ve dibbled and dabbled with different artists… other female rappers but… is that something you would fell like [you would do?]” Angela Yee asked.
“You know I never did it because I always thought like I would end up f**king the female rapper. F**king the business up. I’m so focused on my business… I gotta be honest with you. You know if she looking good and I’m spending so much money on her photoshoots… I gotta f**k with her a couple times,” he said while DJ Envy and Charlemagne laughed like crazy.
What if Rick Ross brought in a young girl, around 17 years old, who he would watch grow, Angela proposed as a hypothetical scenario. He then said that would be different, as he would see her as a daughter figure.
“I mean, most definitely… If she was a youngster that I felt she was bringing something to the table that dope, you know what I’m saying… Just like it’s a female artist that I’ve watched her whole life in the same position was Brianna Perry in Miami,” he said.
