When it comes to being a boss, Rick Ross has it down pat. Not only is he one of the top artists of our time, but he’s also a smart businessman. The “Aston Martin Music” rapper owns a chain of Wingstop and Checkers & Rally’s restaurant locations, and RICH by Rick Ross, a hair and beard grooming line. Not to mention, he’s an established actor. Well, his credits are getting longer because he boss himself will be appearing in the new Coming to America 2 film. Exciting, right?
It has been reported that Rick Ross will be featured in the upcoming film, Coming to America 2. According to Deadline>, the rapper will be in the movie, alongside some of its original cast members. This isn’t Ross’s first go round with acting. He’s starred in BET’s Tales, as well as the 2018 movies, Superfly and Uncle Drew.
Though his role in the movie hasn’t been revealed, we do know that he will be joining James Earl Jones as King Jaffe Joffer, Paul Bates as Oha, and of course, Eddie Murphy as Prince Akeem, and Arsenio Hall as Semmi.
In a recent interview on Nick Cannon Mornings show on Power 106 in L.A., Ross revealed that production is actually underway at his estate. “The reason I believe in [Coming to America 2] is because they filming at my estate in Atlanta right now.”
While filming, Ross is primarily focusing on releasing his latest album, Port of Miami 2, which will feature Nipsey Hussle, Drake, Lil Wayne, Pusha-T, and more. Coming to America 2 hit screens Dec. 18, 2020.
