As Suge Knight sits in prison while on trail for murder, life on the outside has been passing him by. After the death of his mother, Knight is looking to be temporarily released from prison for the funeral.
Marion “Suge” Knight — who has been in jail since his 2015 arrest for the murder and attempted murder of two men on the set of Straight Outta Compton — is looking for mercy in the court room. The record producer is hopping a judge will allow him to be temporarily released from prison in order to attend his mother’s funeral.

Knight was temporarily out of prison in April, after being hospitalized for two days. TMZ reported that Suge was transported from L.A. County jail to a Los Angeles hospital around 11 April 3 morning. While the reason behind this recent hospitalization wasn’t released, blood clots — which he was first treated for in 2017 — has reportedly been a reoccurring issue for the former hip-hop mogul.
Suge has notoriously had several patches of bad health, checking in and out of the hospital since going to jail nearly three years ago.
This news came after reports that the record producer participated in an illegal television interview while locked up. At the top of the year, The Blast revealed that Nora Donaghy and William Erb — team members behind Death Row Chronicles — were dealing with a falling out with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
