The internet debates Eminem's viral cypher

Eminem’s anti-Trump cypher caused quite the stir at the BET Awards and in the larger Twitter sphere. Eminem took a few moments to direct criticism at the president and his divisive ways, adding that it’s possible to respect the military and hate the president. He closed the rap out by pulling a T.I., telling Trump supporters who count themselves as fans of his to kick rocks. The presidential dragging caused more than a few rap stars to take notice of the long-dormant rapper.

“Whoa. Rap God. @Eminem thank you. Potentttt,” J. Cole wrote on Twitter.

Diddy was even more enthusiastic about the cypher from his fellow member of the old guard. “[email protected] killed this sh*t!!! F*ck that! This is for Collin ball up a fist!!! ✊🏿,” he tweeted.

The extremely online rapper Snoop Dogg posted a video where he saluted the Detroit rapper. “Yo, shoutout to Eminem for saying some real sh*t. Eminem: I always knew you was a real n*gga. We totally know you a real n*gga now. Shoutout to Eminem, Detroit stand up. Eminem, real muthafuckin’ n*gga. So says Snoop Dogg,” he said on Instagram.

Of course, rappers weren’t the only ones watching. Sports stars also couldn’t help but hear Em’s shot across the bow of The Donald.

“Racism is the only thing he’s Fantastic 4(fantastic for), cause that’s how he gets his rock off, he’s orange. Sheesh @Eminem!! 🔥🔥✊🏾🔥🔥#United,” tweeted Lebron James, along with a photo of The Thing.

Colin Kaepernick — who is mentioned by name in the freestyle — told the rapper that he appreciated the shout-out. The 49ers quarterback, who was not-so-mysteriously forced into retirement after kneeling for a season in protest of police brutality, tweeted out his appreciation of Eminem following the cypher.
