Someone hates the new Kanye.
Kanye West isn’t a bashful character at all. The “Good Life” rapper showed little to no hesitation when he fearlessly released his “Famous” video. The controversial video displayed a bevy of notable celebrities including George Bush, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kim Kardashian, Bill Cosby, and more all laying together naked on a bed. While many were perturbed by the video, most notably Taylor Swift, many applauded Kanye for his daringness in exploring different avenues for his video. Well, one actress voiced her opinion about Kanye’s video, and tackled him head-on.
Lena Dunham comes after Kanye!
Actress Lena Durham pounced on Kanye after he released his new video “Famous.” The creator of HBO’s Girls had several words for the Chicago rapper. In a lengthy Facebook post, she bashed ‘Ye for delivering “one of the more disturbing ‘artistic’ efforts in recent memory.”
Dunham thinks Kanye poorly represented women in his video.
Dunham continued her verbal assault on Kanye by referring to his disturbing representation of women in his video. “Now I have to see the prone, unconscious, waxy bodies of famous women, twisted like they’ve been drugged and chucked aside at a rager? It gives me such a sickening sense of dis-ease.”
Taylor Swift wasn’t happy about the video, either.
If you recall, sources close to Taylor Swift explained how the singer was “livid” and “horrified” by Kanye’s explosive video. With the song already geared on bashing her, her inclusion in the strange set-up punctuated Ye’s effort in clashing with Taylor. The two have been back and forth since Kanye crashed her acceptance speech at the MTV Music Awards.
