Trina is over it
Khia and Trina have a longstanding beef that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon. Khia has an entire show that’s all about throwing accusations at famous rappers and reality stars, but finds ways to inject the Miami rapper into her rants against just about everybody.
One of the most common accusations the rapper behind “My Neck, My Back” lobs at Trina is that she doesn’t write her own songs. And Trina wasn’t having any of it when DJ Envy brought it up to Trina during a chat on The Breakfast Club.
The conversation began with Trina explaining how her time on the new Miami expansion of the Love & Hip Hop franchise worked. Since she’s a rapper, she explained that her time in front of the camera will simply give fans a closer look at her day-to-day work.
“I show what I really do in real life. It’s no exaggerated stories,” she told Charlamagne. “It’s no fake relationships. It’s no fake storylines. This is what I do. Everybody knows I’m an artist. Everybody sees me doing what I do.”
At the mention of her being an artist, Envy jumped in to ask about the accusations that she doesn’t write her own songs and whether or not the show would address that.
“I’ve never heard that,” Trina countered. “I’m always writing.”
The move forced Envy to reveal his sources and the second that Khia’s name was mentioned, Trina went off.
“You don’t address the cockroaches on The Breakfast Club,” she said to laughs from the hosts. “When you look at the Trina music, you see the Trina name, you wonder how Trina lasted for 17 years, you know how Trina gets so many bags? Hmm. That royalty is very good, daddy.”

It’s not the first time that Khia and Trina have gone head to head publicly, though it is the biggest flare-up in several months. Khia and Trina previously went back and forth after the former accused Trina of using sexual favors to get where she is and being a stripper before her career in rap music took off.
The fight escalated and eventually local rapper Kim B jumped in to call out Trina. In a video response to the both of Kim and Khia, Trina explained that she is the reason any of them are even allowed to come out of Miami and try to make it as rappers.
“Y’all hoes gonna respect my motherf**king name,” she said in the video. “I’m gonna make you bow down and kiss my motherf**king feet, y’all buma** hoes. I paved the way for you to even speak in Miami…Don’t even talk about my name without saying ‘Ms.””
She went on to challenge Kim B to a fight in person and clowned the rapper when she failed to show up.
“I told you to meet me where I told you to come. You ain’t show up…All that s**t you was talking but you ain’t show up.” she said. “We was in the street waiting. Why you ain’t show up?”
