While Cardi B is becoming a pro at handling rumors and leaked NSFW tapes, she never promised to deal with individuals spreading fake news as graciously. The “regular, degular, shmegular girl from the Bronx” went back to her roots, checking King Yella for insinuating that they had been intimate.
The Skeezeworld ENT rapper’s track “Cardi B Truth” — where he less than inconspicuously suggested that he and Cardi smashed — wasn’t out for more than a week before Cardi’s fiancé Offset stepped in. Still, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper felt the need to address Yella herself. So, she called him…
Call ‘Em Out
Yella got a taste of his own medicine. After posting his FaceTime call with Offset — where the Migos rapper warned Yella about trash talking his fiancée — Cardi posted her phone call with the musician. As shown in an Instagram post, the “Lick” artist tells her fellow New York rapper to keep her name out of his “f**kin’ dirty a** mouth.”
“Yo, Yella, why are you jackin’ that I f**ked you? Why you saying’ some bum shit out ya f**kin’ mouth?” she says, before asking when they allegedly slept together. Taking Cardi’s words literally, Yella pointed out that he never actually said that the two had relations.
“Listen. Show me one thing where it says I f***ed you,” Yella shot back. “You try to make it seem like I did, and I never did,” Cardi replied. While Yella kept nit-picking, hip-hop’s realest girl told him that regardless of what he literally did or did not say, he has no reason to speak her name at all.
“I don’t f**k with you. The only reason why I was ever cool witchu was because of Tommy, and I only get along with Tommy,” Cardi said.
After the star revealed that her ex-boyfriend Tommy — who parted ways with Cardi in 2016 while in prison for gun charges — was the only reason she “tolerated” Yella, she made her last point. Leaving nothing to question, Cardi stated, “I never f**ked you, I never seen ya d**k, I never kissed you. I never nothing.”
That’s a no-no
Even if the two do have a past together, it’s in the past. As Instagram user @barns.marsh33 put it: “He lame for doing that to her anyway!!”
Though many were disappointed that the star even responded to Yella’s antics. “By acknowledging a petty problem you give it existence and credibility. The more attention you pay an enemy, the stronger you make him,” said Instagram user @adabofranchh.
Cardi-lovers sang a similar tune when her fiancé addressed Yella. Although, the NYC native came with a totally different energy while speaking to Offset. Rather than denying his intention behind “Cardi B Truth,” he told Offset he didn’t “give a f**k about none of that.”
“I’m not worried bout no ni**a. F**k what you talkin’ bout. We can link, get it on, whateva,” Yella continued.
