Family Values
Reminding everyone that some bonds just can’t be broken, Lil Wayne and Birdman recently hung out at LIV in Miami Beach. Because everyone is a paparazzi these days, the monumental moment was caught on camera.
The two can be seen hugging and briefly chatting before the short clip ends.

Perfect Timing

Coming in with the perfect timing, a Rich Gang affiliate was on Snapchat just as Wayne and Birdman possibly ended a long, long beef. To the sound of Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares,” the two hugged before exchanging a few words. Over LIV’s loud stereo no one could hear the conversation between the rappers, but they both smiled and greeted each other warmly.
The meet may have been an accident though. Sources told TMZ that the New Orleans natives arrived in different cars. Wayne performed alongside 2 Chainz, while Birdman “kept a relatively low profile.”
Regardless, this is a welcomed change from the previous status of the “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy” rapper and Wayne’s relationship. Don’t be fooled though… The lawsuit between the two is still in full swing. Despite the fact that their latest meet up was all smiles, Wayne still needs his coins.
Busy, Busy
It is likely both moguls are too busy to keep their feud going inside and outside of court. While the “Mr. Carter” artist is raising his children, Birdman is gearing up to get married to R&B songstress Toni Braxton.
“I have an announcement to make,” the “Breathe Again” singer tells her sisters in a trailer of Braxton Family Values that was released in February 2018. “I’m engaged!” After knowing Birdman for 16 years, Toni is rocking a huge yellow diamond engagement ring. In the video, she flashed the rock in front of her sisters (and the camera), dripping with excitement.
Diehard Toni fans know that the Secrets songstress was struggling with complications from Lupus for the better part of 2016. She battled her ailment while still going on with her tour, and Birdman “was there” for her platonically the whole time.
“When I was on tour in 2016 I was really sick, I had a really bad flare [referring to her Lupus]…there was a rumor that I died…every day I was on tour, he was there with me. If he left, he would come back,” Toni shared on The Angie Martinez Show. “We weren’t anything. He was my friend. He was there.”
When the duo became more than friends, things heated up quickly. Nowadays, Toni says she finds herself having to “bring him down” from extravagant dates so they can have normal one-on-one time.
Ever-Spinning Rumor Mill

Meanwhile… The daughter of Lil Wayne and former Growing Up Hip-Hop star raised more than a few eyebrows when fans caught her riding in a car with rapper YFN Lucci. The dating rumors immediately began to swirl afterwards, and the internet went off, wondering how Lil Wayne would react to 27-year-old Lucci dating his 19-year-old daughter.
Fans held a full blown conversation about whether the two adults should or should not be hanging out together. This type of energy is exactly why Reginae recently stepped away from reality television. After she found that the producers of GUHH were using deceptive editing practices, she took issue with the way a fight between herself and Brandon was broadcasted.
“It didn’t go like this,” Reginae wrote on Twitter. “This will be my last season.”
