The First 'Dirty South' group.
In 1991, Cee-Lo, Khujo, T-Mo, and Big Gipp formed Goodie Mob. Straight out of Atlanta, the group was first featured on Outkast’s tracks, “Call of da Wild” and “Git Up, Git Out,” off of their debut album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. Goodie Mob coined the phrase “Dirty South” on their first album with a song of the same title. And from 1995 to 2013, Goodie Mob has dropped hits becoming a legendary group who have paved the way for other Dirty South rappers. They recently reunited onstage to take us down memory lane. But before that, the group members dealt with death, ligament amputation, and failed successes.
