On Thursday, March 15, Youngboy Never Broke Again (AKA NBA YoungBoy) was released from the Ware County Jail in Georgia on $75,000 bond after having spent 18 days behind bars. YoungBoy was originally arrested in Tallahassee, Florida on charges of aggravated assault, kidnapping, and weapons charges.

Those first two charges stem from an incident that occurred back in mid-February at a hotel in Waycross, Georgia. Footage was captured by the hotel surveillance that shows YoungBoy throwing his girlfriend Jania to the ground, then proceeding to handle her roughly. Guests at the hotel who heard the commotion called the police, but YoungBoy and Jania had fled by the time they arrived. Even though they had left, blood stains were found in the room.

Although all of NBA YoungBoy’s accounts have been silent since his recent release, a video has been circulating on social media that shows what is believed to be YoungBoy, saying “only thing they gotta do is free Kodak now.” See the video below.

Jania has denied allegations of abuse on social media, but the evidence available was substantial enough to make a case against YoungBoy. He was arrested after a police officer encountered his tour bus just before he was to perform at The Moon nightclub in Tallahassee. He was initially denied bail, but the denial was reversed after he was extradited to Georgia. To make matters worse, YoungBoy was on probation at the time for a non-fatal drive-by shooting that occurred in 2016, which gained him a suspended 10 year sentence.

It is reported that prosecutors requested that YoungBoy’s probation be revoked, and that the District Attorney of Baton Rouge, Louisiana deemed him “a threat to society and the safety of others”. Still, it wasn’t enough to block his bail being granted.

While many of YoungBoy’s fans have expressed their contentedness with his release from jail on social media, one of the more noteworthy figures that partook in this celebration was none other than Birdman. Birdman recently posted a picture of himself and the rapper to his Instagram, including “nephew” in the caption, giving YoungBoy a glamorous co-sign. Check out the post below.

About two weeks before he was released, it was announced that the release date of his upcoming album, Until Death Call My Name, would be pushed back from March 5 to April 27. His latest release was a single dropped a couple days before he posted bail, titled Right Or Wrong, featuring Future. The song will have to satiate his fans until his album release date comes around, unless he decides to break off his audience something more until then.
