Post Malone has been having a great run for the past 12 months after releasing a smash hit single, “White Iverson,” that topped the charts. While the club banger has left fans yearning for more from the rapper, it looks like things have taken a different turn with his music career. Malone was originally set to work on his debut hip hop album, which we were all hoping to receive sometime this year, but the rapper just announced that he has quit the genre altogether.
Learn about Post Malone’s new move, and why he’s quitting hip hop.
Post Malone was dominating hip hop last year with his hit single, “White Iverson.”
The Syracuse native was topping the charts with the catchy track, which even got the attention of Allen Iverson himself, who instantly became a fan. Malone has been touring non-stop since the track blew up in clubs and on the radio, and fans were anxiously awaiting a follow-up.
The rapper released his first project, August 26, on May 12 of this year.
Malone finally blessed his patient fans with a project this past month, but unfortunately, it was not picked up by the hip hop community as well as most probably expected. While fans seemed to enjoy the project, they were still upset that it wasn’t released sooner, nor have they gotten an official debut album from him yet.
