It has been a turbulent ride for Lil Wayne in 2015. With a bevy of controversy surrounding the New Orleans rapper, dark clouds hovered over his career for the better part of the year. Despite being marred by violence, lies, and deceit, Wayne still managed to grab a couple of wins this year.

The once unbreakable bond between Birdman and Lil Wayne went sour because of Baby’s attempt to shelf his son’s album Tha Carter V. Despite dropping innumerable platinum selling projects and opuses, Wayne found himself buried alive in the pit of Cash Money’s basement. In the latter part of 2014, Wayne ascended back into superstardom when he dropped consecutive bangers in “Believe Me” and “Grindin’.” Despite his efforts, his long-awaited project has yet to see the light of day.

Wayne and Baby’s relationship spiraled and went sour due to Wayne’s project never coming out. To make matters worse, on several occasions this year, violence ensued between the two parties. Earlier in the summer, Wayne was performing and Baby allegedly threw a drink at his once beloved son. Wayne spewed venom towards Baby this year for stealing cash from him, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga, as well. He currently is suing him for $51 million.
